The University of Botswana library has journals housed in various databases.
To access them;
1. Journal of Advertising Education - is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to research and commentary on instruction, curriculum, and leadership in advertising education. In addition to traditional research, the journal publishes articles and opinion pieces, teaching tips, reports, and books/digital resource reviews.
2. CINEJ: Cinema Journal -is a peer-reviewed semiannually published international scholarly film studies journal based in USA. It is published by the University Library System, University of Pittsburgh and is cosponsored by the University of Pittsburgh Press. There are no article processing or submissions fees, or any other costs required of authors to submit articles to this journal.
3. Computer Animation & Virtual Worlds - is the first journal to address the global thematic of the Virtual Worlds. These consist of computer animation, embodied agents, virtual environments, augmented reality, virtual life and visualisation. This hybrid journal is read by scientists, artists and technicians applying animation techniques.
4. Critical Studies in Media Communication (CSMC) - is a peer-reviewed publication of the National Communication Association. CSMC publishes original scholarship in mediated and mass communication from a cultural studies and/or critical perspective. It particularly welcomes submissions that enrich debates among various critical traditions, methodological and analytical approaches, and theoretical standpoints.
5. Industrial Marketing Management - Industrial Marketing Management provides theoretical, empirical and case-based research geared to the needs of marketing scholars and practitioners researching and working in industrial and business-to-business markets. An editorial review board of leading international scholars and practitioners assures a balance of theory and practical applications in all articles.
6.International Journal of Performance Arts & Digital Media - The International Journal of Performance Arts and Digital Media draws its contributions from academics and practitioner-researchers at the interface of new media technologies and performance. It acts as a forum for critical scholarship, innovative practice, and creative pedagogy, addressing themes that may be domain-specific (e.g. theatre, dance, music, live art, computer science) or situated at the convergence of two or more disciplines.

8. Journal of African Media Studies - The peer-reviewed Journal of African Media Studies contributes to this repositioning by providing a forum for debate on the historical and contemporary aspects of media and communication in Africa.
9. Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media - presents timely research articles about new developments, trends, and innovations in electronic and digital communication to advance scholarly discoveries and real-world solutions. The Journal invites original research submissions that examine a broad range of topics addressing audiences and media technologies, including technological, social, psychological, cultural, historical, political, economic, legal and policy dimensions. Scholarship that tests theory, extends knowledge and/or fosters innovative perspectives on issues of importance to interdisciplinary research, is particularly encouraged. The Journal is open to a diversity of theoretic paradigms and research methodologies.
10. Journal of Applied Journalism & Media Studies - is a peer-reviewed journal that aims to bridge the gap between media and communication research and actors within media production, i.e. broadcasters, newspapers, radio, Internet-based media outlets, etc. It is devoted to research with an applied angle in which a clear link is made between the prevalent theories and paradigms media and communication scholars work with, and the real world where media and communication activities take place.
11. American Journalism - is the official publication of the American Journalism Historians Association. Peer reviewed and published quarterly, the journal concerns itself with media history in all national and transnational contexts. It publishes articles, essays, book reviews, and reviews of digital media
